Join the team
The Blue House Project is managed by founder Jaira Sona Chin and the only paid employees belong to the local community in Pushkar. As our work is expanding rapidly, we are recruiting volunteers to join our Ambassador and Volunteer team. This is an opportunity to work as part of a small, young and passionate team, to gain first-hand experience in non-profit work and for your work to have a real, tangible impact.
Our remote volunteer team is made up of passionate and diverse individuals who feel motivated to make an impact. Online meetings take place once every week and hours are flexible, with an average time commitment of three hours a week.
The right candidate should be passionate about humanitarian work, international development, more specifically in relation to the South Asian subcontinent and have a background in the skills related to the position.
Current opportunities:
-
Finance coordinator: The finance coordinator supports me with financial administration, annual reporting, budgeting, financial management and financial planning.
-
Project coordinator: Project coordinators monitor and evaluate existing projects and develop new projects through research, data collection and reaching out to NGO partners. Project coordinators are focusses on one of the existing or new projects (education, basic life needs, employment, health care, child rights, gender equality, youth development). They develop project proposals, plan of actions and coordinate between different team members. The process usually looks like this: remote fieldwork (what are the problems on the ground), research, coordinating a team, fundraising, marketing on social media, website, email, implementation on the ground). I am looking for at least one coordinator per project.
-
Fundraising coordinator: Fundraising coordinators work to find potential funding opportunities, draft call for funding proposals, designing fundraising campaigns, connecting businesses, reaching out to potential partners and creating partnership agreements.
-
Communications coordinator: Communications coordinators focus on social media marketing, website design and email marketing.
-
Sales coordinator: Sales coordinators help to boost product sales, design products, evaluate sales, product photography, webshop management, product catalogue design and reach out to new (retail and wholesale) partners.
Volunteer in the Blue House
